Three Simple Moves to Energize your Qi and create more Vitality


Hey

Let's get started.  These three moves are simple, yet effective.  They are foundational in a Qigong practice and help create more Vitality in your daily life.  Here is how to set up your body:

  • Stand with feet shoulder width apart.  Your feet should be positioned straight down from your hips.
  • Notice your toes, heel and the outside of each foot. 
  • Bring your attention to the spot right behind the ball if your foot in the center.  This spot is called the Bubbling Well, and is the Kidney 1 (K1) meridian point on each foot.  This is an important part of a healthy Qigong practice.  Get to know this spot well :-)
  • Knees should be slightly bent.
  • Hips should be in a neutral position. Not pushed forward and not pushed back.  No Booty sticking out (wink ;-)
  • Back should be relaxed and straight
  • Shoulders should be down away from the ears and relaxed.  No tension in the shoulders
  • Neck should be straight.  Don't let your head drop forward like you do when your driving your car.  How do I know about the head dropping forward?  We all do it....let's correct that and help improve our neck...OK?
  • The top of your head should be pointed upwards towards the sky.

Now that we are aligned, let's watch video and practice the movement.

Do this set at least 3 times a day.  You can do it as often as you would like.
